Following the decision of government to reopen Entebbe Airport to tourists coming in and those going out of Uganda, Uganda Airlines has come out to inform the public that it will resume international scheduled flights effective 1st October,2020.
In the statement that the National Carrier released on Monday, they stated that “The airline will restart its services with four destinations in the month of October 2020 namely Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, Juba and Mogadishu. Other previously served destinations like Bujumbura, Kilimanjaro, Mombasa and Zanzibar will be added later”
They also emphasised that with the reopening of Entebbe International Airport, the expansion of the African Network will continue. “…and we plan to launch scheduled operations to Johannesburg, Kinshasa, Harare and Lusaka in the coming months.” They said in the statement.
Uganda Airlines remains committed to keeping their passengers safe by adhering to the approved SOP’s and complying with National and international guidelines for safe air travel in light of COVID-19. The national carrier and international airport have been closed to the public since March 2020 due to the Corona virus Lockdown.
