The Homeland Media Institute [HMI] has announced registration of students for August-Sept 2022 intake with opportunities for needy students to acquire basic media, Journalism and entrepreneurship and ICT with technical, vocation and technical training at relatively reduces tuition of 20% chances of getting the position are on first-come-first-serve basis.

The Homeland Media Institute [HMI] is committed to playing a leading role in bringing and developing high-quality practical skills technical education, community and student-centered learning, mentoring and opportunities based on standards of excellence that are unique, innovative and difficult to match.

The Homeland Media Institute [HMI] is located in the heart of Kampala City and on the main public transportation routes favorable at Greenland Towers Fifth floor Room F09 with plans to open up more satellite study centers around Kampala City and Uganda.


The Homeland Media Institute [HMI] Journalism, is Uganda’s Premier Institute of higher learning is part of the HOMELAND MEDIA GROUP, Uganda’s multimedia communication and publishing company with a strong presence in Newspaper Publishing, printing, Communication, education and training and capacity building, Students have a chance to apply to any of the courses either on certificate, diplomas and short course training in the field of coverage including technical, vocational education and training in Tailoring, Bakery, Beauty and Cosmetology, Computer Applications and Others.

Major areas of training include, Radio, Television presentation, Computer and Graphics Design, Multimedia Training, Music, Dance and Drama, Languages, Entrepreneurship, Photography and Videography, al these are examined by UBTEB and DIT Classification.
