The Bishop of the diocese of Kigezi,  Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna has implored spouses to always fulfill and bow to the oath they make during wedding if they are to be successful in their marital journey.Bishop Akanjuna made the remarks on Sunday 24th July 2022 during the celebration of St. Peter’s day at St. Peter’s cathedral Rugarama Church in Kabale Municipality where seven christian men were inducted and inaugurated into the father’s union.Bishop Akanjuna said that it’s the responsibility of men and women to perfect their responsibilities in order to build strong families on a foundation of God.

He asked the married couples to embrace cooperation, Unity, hard work and put trust in God in order to have better families.The former Kigezi diocesan secretary Rev. Canon. Erasmus Turyatunga while preaching asked men to be slaves of God and their families since they are the heads in family.

He advised men to depict from earthly things like adultery, alcoholism, know God and concentrate on their families.

He called upon those that have joined the fathers union to guard their status and respect, trust God and be faithful tipping them that joining fathers’ union is a call to be slaves of Jesus Christ.
