National water and Sewerage Corporation announces water interruption in Gulu city and surrounding areas due to ongoing emergency works on a section of Karuma Pipeline that was damaged by a speeding motor vehicle.

“The Management of National Water and Sewerage Corporation wishes to inform its valued customers and the general public that there will be interruptions in water supply in Gulu City and the surrounding affected areas, Estimated Completion Time: Friday, 2nd January 2026 at 6:00 pm.

NWSC Further informs the general public that, to mitigate the downtime, they have temporarily supplying water to the city from Oyitino Water Production system.

Customers are therefore advised to use the available water sparingly during this period.

All inconveniences are highly regretted.

NWSC urges motorists to drive responsibly to avoid damaging the waterman infrastructure.

The works are designed to improve power reliability at the Station.
