Ssenyonyi said the proposal, due to be unveiled tomorrow, will outline what the opposition considers key areas of focus in the national budget.

“We’ll present our Alternative Budget Priorities to the Nation, underscoring what we believe should be the areas of priority in the upcoming budget,” he said.

He noted that the initiative seeks to provide a clear vision for the country’s development path.

“We are doing this so as to paint a picture of the proper direction our country ought to be taking,” he added.

Despite ongoing challenges, Ssenyonyi emphasized Uganda’s potential, arguing that stronger leadership could drive progress.

“With good leadership, we are able to not just survive, but to thrive,” he said.

The announcement comes amid growing scrutiny of government expenditure and service delivery.
