The Uganda’s prominent businessman and NRM Vice Chairperson for Eastern region, Flight Capt. Mike Mukula has offered a brand new chopper for President Yoweri Museveni’s ‘scientific’ campaigns for 2021 general elections.

The new chopper is an Airbus AS350-B2 with aircraft serial number-7295, Reg no. 5Y-SGM. The chopper dubbed “The Freedom Fighter” is currently being branded in Nairobi, Kenya before it is flown to Uganda by next week.

Capt. Mike Mukula told The Homeland Newspaper that, the new chopper will assist the NRM Presidential candidate, Yoweri Museveni and the NRM Party at large during the forthcoming scientific campaigns.

Mike Said that, this is my humble contribution to my flag bearer who is a freedom fighter for having showed exemplary and effective leadership in the fight against COVID-19 Pandemic.

The whole world is amazed on how he has made it; providing African solutions to African problems. Uganda is lucky for his charismatic leadership and stamina.

“The chopper will help coordinate and facilitate President Museveni’s campaigns and other NRM Party activities such as airlifting campaign materials to all parts of the country”. He said.

The chopper will also frequently fly posters of Yoweri Museveni at a height which is clearly visible by the voters.

Apparently, Mukula who is eyeing to retain his NRM CEC slot will fully fuel the chopper and pay the pilot until election time. The chopper will be stationed at Kololo airstrip and Entebbe Airport for easy accessibility by the NRM Party.

“I am delighted to help the Party to achieve a smooth scientific election where we hope to claim the biggest victory in the general poll. I urge Ugandans to fully support the candidature of Museveni for he has exhibited high levels of competency, expertise and maturity while handling the COVID-19 pandemic,” Mukula said.

It is not the first time Mukula has rendered such a noble offer to the NRM Party.

In 2015, he offered a chopper to facilitate the party in the campaigns for 2016 elections. In 2015, Mukula, who was Soroti Municipality MP retired from active elective politics to concentrate on private sector.

Capt.Mike Mukula is a politician and a businessman who has of late ventured in oil sector, logistics and industrialization and is embarking on opening a grain and cereal plant in Teso which will be the largest grain silos in sub-Saharan African with a capacity of 100,000 metric tonnes.

The plant will among others mill and package wheat, maize and rice, with a seed processing and animal feed plant.
