The Ugandan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sam Kahamba Kutesa has on Friday3oth October received credentials of the new Ambassador-designate of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Uganda, H.E. Ashraf Mohamed Nabhan Swelam at the Ministry of foreign Affairs MoFA in Kampala capital.

Sam Kuteesa congratulated the Ambassador-Designate upon his appointment and hailed the excellent bilateral relations between Uganda and Egypt.

Minister Kuteesa further noted that this appointment would strengthen bilateral cooperation, promote trade and investment between the two countries.

While presenting his credentials, Amb. Swelam conveyed a message of gratitude for the warm reception accorded to him by Uganda authorities.

Egyptian Ambassador Swelam expressed his desire to work closely with the Ministry to foster Economic Diplomacy ties between the two countries.

Sam Kutesa promised that the Ministry will give the Ambassador-designate all the necessary assistance he needs to accomplish his assignments during his tour of duty in Uganda.
