MP Lufafa’s New Ambulance overturns while being driven to the handover venue

The newly procured ambulance for Butembe County constituents donated by their area Member of Parliament Nelson Lufafa, has over turned while being driven to its venue of handover.

The ambulance, registration number UBD 699Q was being driven by a one Henry Kisakye to Bugembe Maternity, Butembe County in Jinja District when the driver lost control of it, veered off road and it overturned near Bugembe Islamic Institute along Jinja- Iganga Highway, just meters from the venue.

According to a reliable source from MP Lufafa’s Office, the  acquired ambulance was due to handover at the at a ceremony organized at Bugembe Maternity center.

 “The ambulance has overturned unfortunately just when we were supposed to hand it over shortly. The MP is really disheartened but he has decided to proceed with the function and speak to the people with or without the ambulance,” Lufafa’s personal assistant told Nile Post.

The ambulance was meant to ease means of transporting patients within and out of the constituency.
