Via his Facebook account post as updated on Sunday Bobi Wine says, “I and wife Barbie ‘ran out of food supplies, We are not able to access because of being under under house arrest”.

Bobi Wine says It’s now four days since the military surrounded our home and placed my wife and I under house arrest.

We have run out of food supplies and when my wife tried to pick food from the garden yesterday, she was blocked and assaulted by the soldiers staged in our compound.

Bobi Wine’s allegations come after the Electoral Commission of Uganda declared on Saturday that long-serving President Museveni had won another five-year term in office.

President Museveni won 58.64 per cent of the total votes cast (5,851,037), EC chair Simon Byabakama announced in a televised address.

His closest challenger Bobi Wine, of the National Unity Platform, came second with 34.83 percent (3,475,298).
