Government of Uganda is set to recruit 0ver 3,000 teachers across the country this year.

The Chairperson of Education Service Commission, Rev.Dr Samuel Luboga, told Journalists in Kampala that, government is set to employ more teachers in seed schools beginning the 22nd of February to the 13th of March this year.

Dr.Lubonga warned that, the commission will not tolerate anyone who bribes to be recruited, that’s why interviews are to be held in different schools, the commission also has toll-free lines to report any act of corruption and anyone caught will face the law.

He noted that, since government introduced seed schools in 2010, the Education service commission [ESC] has recruited over 9,612 carders to serve in 356 seed schools across the country.

Accordingly Dr.Lubonga said priority will be given to only 82 operating seed schools where as for the second category the expected number of vacancies will be 554 who will in the due course the commission will advertise and fill those gaps accordingly.
