Kadaga said that she has been several been fought by the party which this Sunday opted not to give her the party ticket.

“I have therefore decided to contest.” Kadaga said

Kadaga said that over time, there has been ”tremendous state interference, intimidation and funding opponents for the position of Vice-Chair.”

Kadaga also indicated that “I was not given an opportunity to present myself. The major reason is speaking on behalf of the ordinary people of Uganda.

Kadaga calls upon all people across the country to call their representatives, ask them to elect her speaker of Parliament.

“As per the constitution, the Position of the women has been scrapped. I am therefore asking the people of Uganda to ask their representatives to elect me.” Kadaga said.
