Police in Sembabule district has on Wednesday arrested a medical doctor for allegedly selling COVID-19 vaccination card to a person without giving him a jab.

The doctor has been identified as Emmanuel Kalemba the COVID-19 vaccination officer in-charge of Ntutsi health center IV in Sembabule district.

It is alleged that, the suspect Dr. Emmanuel Kalemba sold a vaccination card to a one residence identified as Colleb Mwebaze at 80,000 shillings.

The Sembabule Resident District Commissioner Ramathan Walugembe confirmed that incidence and said that, security has been receiving intelligence reports about doctors who sell vaccination cards until they landed on one of their lead doctors Dr..Emmanuel Kalemba who is now in custody as investigation are underway.
