The City Hall Court in Kampala yesterday sentenced a 27-year-old security guard to community service for defacing the Presidential candidate, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s campaign poster.

Morris Eyit, a security guard, was arraigned before a Court presided over by Edgar Karakire, who charged him with one offense of defacement of posters contrary to Section 80 of the Presidential Elections Act.

Eyit, a resident of Bukoto in Nakawa Division, was arrested in Kyanja together with unidentified accomplices for tearing down posters of the NRM presidential candidate.
