We have exclusively learnt about former Uganda army commander Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu invite to former presidential Press secretary Outspoken Tamale Mirundi at the launch of his new formation coalition, the invitation has ruffled the feathers of the ruling party.

Gen. Muntu has invited Mirundi to the launch of The Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) slated on 22nd May 2019 at the Serena International Conference Centre in Kampala.

The African News Journal has learnt that the ruling NRM party was shocked by the move after A veteran journalists and NRM diehard Joseph Tamale Mirundi accepted the invitation where he will be a VIP guest.

Gen Muntu has also invited former political intelligence spy Chief Charles Rwomushana to the launch of ANT Party.

Muntu decided to form a new formation after falling out with leaders of his former Party, FDC last year. he said that they developed different ideologies within the FDC party and he (Gen. Muntu) decided to form a new party but fighting for the same with a different ideology.

Recently, Mr Mirundi has been awash with praises for Gen. Muntu for having political discipline arguing that the general can rule Uganda better than several NRM officials who he said are specialists in fighting everybody working hard for the ruling NRM.

Mirundi also recently warned that if Gen Muntu unites with Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine and field a joint candidate in 2021 elections, they could give NRM a run for their money.

He described Bobi Wine as politically dangerous. When asked to expound on his statement alleging Bobi Wine being dangerous, Mr Mirundi recently said: A prisoner who is not dangerous can’t be taken to maximum prison. Even if you lock Bobi Wine in a house during campaigns, he will rise 35 per cent of the vote. This is because government has had a poor approach towards the youth, he said.
