The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has confirmed the date and venue for this year’s Ordinary General Assembly (AGM)

According to circular released by the Uganda football body, the 96th general assembly will be hosted at Silver Springs Hotel in Kampala on October 17th 2020.

The Assembly will be held in Kampala region after it was hosted by West Nile in Adjumani last year.

The Ordinary FUFA General Assembly is the supreme and legislative body of football in Uganda and is comprised of 34 members Associations that are represented by 88 delegates.

Last year’s AGM was hosted in Adjumani, a district in the West Nile region of FUFA after the Federation decided that the General Assembly should be rotated in all the 8 football regions with each region given a chance to host the coveted assembly.

The rotation is done until the 8 regions are covered and the same sequence is repeated for the next years. The Ordinary Members of FUFA are;

The 16 FUFA Super League clubs,The FUFA Big League,The FUFA Women Leagues,The 8 Regional Associations,The Uganda Football Players Association,The Uganda Women Football Association,The Uganda Football Coaches Association,The Uganda Football Referees Association,The Uganda Beach-Soccer Association,The Uganda Schools Football Association ,The Uganda Youth Football Association and The Futsal Association of Uganda.

Some of the key areas of address in the FUFA Ordinary General Assembly will include the activity report, financial statements, budgets, permission of entrants to new members and dismissing of members, electoral reforms and among others.

The Regions so far  that have hosted the FUFA Ordinary General Assemblies since; 2013 – Jinja (Eastern), 2014 – Lira (Northern Region),2015 – Soroti (North East),2016– Luweero (Buganda),2017– Masindi (Kitara),2018– Kabale (Western),2019– Adjumani (West Nile) and now 2020 – Kampala (Kampala).
