Uganda’s outspoken Minister minister of finance, planning, and economic development Hon. Matia Kasaija reveals that, So Far Spent 4.3 Trillion In Pandemic Fight’ since its outbreak in March last year.

The Minister who appearing before the Parliamentary Covid-19 Task Force said that most of the money had gone towards strengthening the country’s health infrastructure and also procuring vaccines from India.

The Minister who was making an accountability for the money so far used during the pandemic gave the breakdown of the finances since 2019/2020 financial year as seen below;

FY 19/20 – 314 Bn

FY 20/21 – 2,787 Bn

FY 21/22 – 932 Bn
