Prince Kimbugwe Foundation donates to Busia residents,extends eye care treatment camp

Prince engineer Dr Chim the CEO of Prince Chim Foundation have donated scholarships to Northern EU to West to supplement on social economic transformation.

Residents of Busia were filled with joy after Prince Kimbugwe Foundation extended health camp to give eye care services to four sub counties of Busia central.

Over two thousand people in the four sub counties of Masafu, Buhehe, Masaba and Masinye benefited in the program and they received free reading glasses and spectacles.

While running the program, Masafu health center 1V medical team joined the foundation and extended technical support to the communities.

Prince Eng. Dr. Kimbugwe partnered with Bicycles sponsorship project and they donated Solar Parabolics to those health centers in the four sub counties.

The solar parabolic were intended to support patients and their care takers in cooking. Dr. Kimbugwe said that this will reduce on deforestation and mitigate global warming as the use of solar energy is among the best clean energy.

Whereas the reading glasses and spectacles that were donated to the locals were worth ninety millions, the four solar parabolic were worth Twenty million shillings.

Eng. Dr. Kimbugwe further stressed that the foundation can be remembered when it donated five hospital beds to a maternity ward in Buhehe health center 111.  

About the Foundation

The Prince Kimbugwe Foundation that was registered on 22nd December as a community initiative that is fully incorporated and registered under the NGO registration act of the Republic with the mandate to improve the quality of life of the most disadvantaged and marginalized groups of the society through implementing programs in the field of eye care service delivery at grass root levels.

The program also provides education support, agriculture development, environmental conservation, and indoor beekeeping.

Other projects that the foundation has managed to establish and are beneficial to the people of Uganda include, Matembe Optometry school that focus on directorate of industrial training that is a sub sector in business Technical Vocational Education and training under the Ministry of Education.

The foundation has been imparting sustainable and profitable skills to over twenty five thousand youth thirty six districts. The youth were skilled in computer application, tailoring, hair dressing, motor vehicle mechanics, plumbing tiles fixing, brick laying and blocks making.

Moreso, his contribution towards supporting disadvantaged communities in rural and urban areas in Uganda won him a Golden Medal from H.E. the president of the Republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
