A 30-year-old man living at Kagoonya landing site, Bunyama island in Bujumba Sub County, Kalangala district has blocked his gut leading to his death on friday night (31st Dec) after he choked on a piece of meat.

According to eye witnesses, Ssegayi bought two kilograms of meat from a butcher in the morning to cook for his 1st January celebrations.

Upon failing to remove the piece of meat from the throat, colleagues tried to hit Ssegayi’s back for rescue but failed until he breathed his last before taken to medical facility.
