Getting clean, reliable water for your home or business no longer begins with long queues. With the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) online application system, a new connection is just a few clicks away.

The process starts with filling in your personal details on the NWSC online portal. This includes your full name, contact information, and identification particulars to ensure the application is registered under the correct applicant.

Next, you’ll be required to provide your address details. Select Kampala (or your relevant area) and choose the NWSC branch closest to your property. This helps the corporation route your application to the right service team for quicker processing.

You then move on to connection details, where you clearly state:

  • The proposed connection
  • The purpose of the connection (domestic, commercial, institutional, etc.)
  • The number of water meters required on the property

Once the details are complete, it’s time to upload supporting documents. All documents must be scanned and saved as one PDF file. These include:

  • A copy of your National ID
  • A passport-size photograph
  • A photocopy of the land title or sales agreement
  • An LC1 letter
  • A sketch map clearly showing directions to the property

After uploading, carefully review all the information you’ve entered to ensure accuracy. When satisfied, submit the application to complete the process.

Upon successful submission, you will be prompted to download your application form. At this stage, make sure to note the tracking number, for example:

NWSC_7/27/2022/xxx66

This number is important for following up on the status of your application.

With everything done, your request for a new water connection is officially in motion.
