Joyce Bagala has today 1st October, 2020 stepped down from her position as Head of News and Current Affairs at Next Media Services to join active politics.

She leaves NBS where she first worked as a Luganda News anchor for their evening Luganda news bulletic, Amasengejje in 2016 but later became Head of News and Current Affairs.

Joseph Kigozi the Next Media Services Chief Strategy Officer said “This is one of the most difficult  resignations we have had to take, but one where the submitter has done enough to be listened to if she needs to move on.”

Bagala who already holds the NUP card for Mityana Woman MP is set to tussle it out with Hon. Judith Nabakooba who is the current woman Mp and also NRM flag bearer for Mityana Woman mp.
