Events promoter Balaam Barugahara has issued an intension to sue Vision Group’s tabloid The Kampala Sun over the Uganda Cranes story.
On Friday last week, The Kampala Sun ran a front page story titled; ‘Balaam Harasses Uganda Cranes Over Sevo Cash’ where story suggests that the Events Promoter is wrestling with Uganda Cranes players for a share of money given to them by President Museveni.
Through his lawyers, Isabirye and Co. Advocates Balaam says the story shows deceit and it was baseless therefore he needs his name to be cleared.
“The story has damaged the reputation of our client in a manner that is not repairable. It suggests that our client is criminal, immoral and in defensive man,” reads part of the letter.
The lawyers say that their client has suffered pain, stress and has been put under a big embarrassment and they demanded an immediate apology for that false publication.
They demand that their client should be compensated for the pain with One Billion Shillings
“Vision Group has only three days to apologise or legal actions will be put into consideration,” the letter adds. Currently it seems the media is battling with most celebrities claiming that the media falsely accuse and write about them following the saga Former Urban TV presenter Tina Fierce and the famous Sheila Gashumba which battle led to the suspension of Scoop and Scoop show
