Ugandan singer Edirisa Musuza popularly known for stage name Eddy Kenzo will have to wait for another more time, after the government issued the repatriation plans for stranded Ugandans with an exclusion of Ivory Coast where he is currently stranded from.

Since the ban on flights by president Museveni as a measure of combating the, spread of coronavirus in March this year, Kenzo has been pleading with the government to help him return home.

Even when the government started repatriating stranded Ugandans abroad, Ivory Coast where the 2015 BET Award winner is stranded from has never been talked about.

“Ugandans and non-Ugandan resident permit holders in distress or stranded abroad due to the National lockdown are called upon to ensure that you contact the Uganda Embassies or High Commissions nearest to you to avail yourself with more information about the Repatriation process,” the foreign ministry said in the schedule issued yesterday.

After the return of the first shift of Ugandans from South Sudan, Eddy kenzo posted on his Facebook page that,

‘Ndaba flights ezireta abantu e Uganda naye ffe ngatetulina yade esuubi. Mwatwerabira banange?’ meaning “I see flights returning Ugandans home but for us we don’t even have hopes. Did you forget us?”

According to the new schedule from the government the repatriation process shall run in a way that Ugandans from South Africa, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Italy shall come back on July 2, the ones of United Arab Emirates on July 3 while the next shift will come from India on July 4,

“Find the closet Embassy or High Commission to your location,” the Ministry emphasized.
