As Uganda is gearing up for the 2026 general elections, the Electoral Commission is reminding all eligible voters to get up know where to vote from as the first step in participating in the upcoming elections. In an official update, the Commission urged citizens to collect their Voter Location Slip (VLS) to ensure a smooth voting experience.

The Voter Location Slip, which identifies a voter’s designated polling station, is available free of charge at local parish or ward offices. Voters must collect their slips before the deadline of 13 January 2026 to avoid last-minute delays.

Election authorities encourage voters to verify their personal details on the VLS and keep it safe until election day.

This initiative is part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to improve voter preparedness and minimize confusion at polling stations.

By collecting their Voter Location Slip, voters can confirm where they will cast their vote and participate fully in the electoral process. Citizens are advised to act early to ensure a hassle-free experience on election day.
