The Forum for Democratic Change [FDC led by Patrick Amuriat Obboi on Wednesday this week rejected Nabila Nagayi’s nomination forms.

Nagayi who is the current Woman Member of Parliament, representing Kampala expressed her interest for vying lord Mayorship on the ticket of FDC.

Officials from FDC told said that Nagayi’s nomination forms were rejected because she brought them back late yet they respect the party decisions.

‘’It is too late for her because for us we respect the party decisions and know that no one is beyond the rules,’’ one official said.

The nomination forms had to be returned to the offices by Tuesday this week, except those of presidential candidates.

The legislator who joined Parliament in 2006 has since served three terms but recently announced that she will not be running the fourth term but instead run for lord mayor ship.

It is now not clear, whether she will now contest as an independent or through other political parties or abandon the race.

Efforts to get a comment from Nagayi were futile by press time.
