The event is scheduled to take place from October 27 to 29, 2025, at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala.

Widely recognised as a premier platform for strengthening economic and commercial cooperation between Uganda and the UAE, the Uganda–UAE Business Forum has steadily grown into a regional hub for high-level dialogue and strategic partnership.

Previous editions held in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Kampala have laid the foundation for robust bilateral engagement. This year’s event is expected to reaffirm the two nations’ shared commitment to enhancing trade, investment, and innovation ties.

The three-day forum will convene senior government officials, prominent business leaders, investors, and innovators from both countries.

Participants will engage in panel discussions, site visits, and direct business dialogues focused on key sectors of interest, including commercial agriculture, agro-industrialisation, tourism, oil and gas, renewable energy, infrastructure, innovation, and real estate.

The event directly aligns with Uganda’s Vision 2040 and reflects the country’s determination to create a conducive and competitive environment for long-term investment.

The Prime Minister , Robinah Nabbanja  will deliver the keynote address at the official opening, underscoring the government’s reform agenda and its commitment to strengthening bilateral economic relations with the UAE.

The forum will also feature an economic outlook presentation by Mr. Ramathan Ggoobi, Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury, who will highlight Uganda’s economic resilience and investment potential.

The closing ceremony will be officiated by  Gen. Jeje Odongo, Minister of Foreign Affairs, marking yet another milestone in Uganda’s economic diplomacy efforts.

Delegations from key UAE emirates, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah Chambers of Commerce and Industry, are expected to attend. Their participation underscores the growing confidence in Uganda as a strategic gateway to East and Central Africa.

Speaking ahead of the forum, Uganda’s Ambassador to the UAE, Ambassador Zaake Wanume Kibedi, highlighted the continued strengthening of ties between the two countries.

He described the Kampala edition as a demonstration of both countries’ desire to move beyond dialogue toward the implementation of joint ventures and partnerships.

He urged Ugandan businesses and UAE investors to register and actively participate in the forum, noting that it presents an opportunity to transform discussions into long-term ventures.

Mrs. Margaret Kafeero, Head of the Public Diplomacy Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, described the forum as a bridge between policy and partnership.

She said the gathering is not only a platform to strengthen economic relations but also to foster cultural and technological exchange, grounded in mutual trust and a shared vision for prosperity.

The forum will feature government-to-government, government-to-business, and business-to-business engagements aimed at expanding markets, shaping policy, and unlocking new investment opportunities. Field visits will showcase Uganda’s dynamic sectors, from agribusiness and manufacturing to energy and innovation, further illustrating the country’s readiness to host world-class investment initiatives.

Beyond its economic focus, the Uganda–UAE Business Forum symbolises Uganda’s proactive approach to global engagement.

The Kampala–Abu Dhabi partnership represents a forward-looking collaboration designed to create sustainable opportunities, promote entrepreneurship, and deepen mutual development goals.
