Cairo: Uganda beat Gabon 81-67 in Tuesday’s first game. The elation was heartwarming for the team but credit must go to Brighton Galiwango.

The small forward was in blistering form draining a game-high of 30 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.

Galiwango got complimented by another Ugandan Joel Muwonga who finished with 24 points, 15 rebounds, and one assist.

Those performances were followed by Mbafe Kanigue Abdel-Kerim of Chad who, despite Egypt’s win over the Central African’s, led the floor with 21 points, 4 rebounds.

In the other game of the day between Mali and Algeria, Ibrahim Oumar Doumbia was the standout player with 17 points, two rebounds, three assists.

Wednesday’s Gameday 6 pairings are Cote d’Ivoire against Gabon, Chad against Uganda, and Egypt up against Mali.
