The Inspector General of Police Martin Okoth Ochola has promoted female police officers who participated in olympics 2021 games.
The Gold winner Peruth Chemutai has been promoted from SPC to Inspector of Police.
Two other female officers were also promoted to the rank of Corporal.
In the same capacity, the Police Authority has recommended the promotion of IP Joshua Cheptegei to a rank of ASP or above.
The recommendation has been forwarded to the President who has the powers to promote gazetted officers.
