Kadaga orders immediate release of the Bobi Wine Political Prisoners

The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has said, the institution of Parliament is worried about the proceeded with common liberties infringement by security organizations.

Kadaga said this while reacting to the appeal introduced by the recently chosen Kampala Capital City Authority councilors who presented a petition on the same on Monday.

Kadaga said, Parliament had entrusted the authorities to deliver each one of those individuals it has captured for supporting previous official competitor, Robert Kyagulanyi otherwise known as Bobi Wine.

The appeal was among others, mentioning Parliament to teach the focal government to deliver every political detainee and to lift the night check in time.

The Speaker said as Parliament had effectively articulated themselves on the matter contradicting the activities of the security offices and government’s inability to be approaching on the matter.

“Following decisions, we were on record for requesting the public authority to create a rundown from individuals it is wrongfully holding and produce them under the steady gaze of court,” she added.

On time limit, Kadaga concurred that it was influencing the livelihoods of numerous individuals. “I don’t comprehend why we actually have a time limit; does the infection just spread around evening time? I unequivocally accept that the choice to lift the check in time is long late,” she added.

John Mary Ssebuufu, a councilor from Nakawa and an individual from the National Unity Platform party drove the designation of basically NUP councilors.
