National Unity Platform Principal Robert Kyagulanyi and the Commander of the Land Forces Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba are in South Africa meeting different officials including South African President Cryil Rwamaphosa and Ministers within the South African Government.

Both Kyagulanyi and Muhoozi have had a love hate relatonship ever since both started engaging in Political gymnastics within the country.

Gen Kainerugaba posted on Social Media that he met President Cyril Rwamaphosa on South Africa, updating Ugandans on the well being of the Ankole cattle President Yoweri Museveni gave to President Rwamaphosa when his son was introduced to Fomer Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi’s daughter a few years ago.

Gen. Kainerugaba posted “Was happy to make a courtesy call on one of Africa’s great leaders, President Ramaphosa, recently. Visited him with my longtime friend and colleague, General Rudzani Maphwanya, Chief of the SANDF. Apart from greeting him I wanted to get tips on breeding Ankole cows! Since he one of the best Ankole breeders in the world right now. He has done a fantastic job with the cows that Mzee @KagutaMuseveni gave him. They are both great farmers.”

On Friday Morning, NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi posted that he had met the Mayor of Capr Town and the Minister of Finance in South Africa.

“I had the honor of having dinner with @geordinhl the Mayor of Cape Town, @DavidMaynier the Minister of Finance and Economic Opportunities; Western Cape government and other dignitaries. We discussed various issues of mutual interest.”Kyagulanyi posted.

It is not clear whether the two met independently in the South African Country.

There have been rumours that the two, Kyagulanyi and Muhoozi have been meeting and engaging on phone and physically.

More than a year ago, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba posted that he had been friends with Kyagulanyi and would welcome him back to further negotiations away from the divisive politics they both engage in.

Kyagulanyi however said, he would not engage with Muhoozi unless the inhumane treatment of his supporters and the continued human rights violations across the country had stopped.

Both Kyagulanyi and Muhoozi have in the recent past visited the South African Country several times.
