Rajiv Ruparelia has won the Kabalega Rally held today, October 23 in the western districts of Hoima and Kikube.

After days on halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic effects, motor rally competitions resumed today in Hoima with Kabalega Rally-competitions that have been scooped by senior driver Rajiv Ruparelia of Rajiv Rally Team.

Kabalega Rally is an annual Motorsport Event organised in partnership with the Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda – (FMU), and United Motorsport Club ( UMOSPOC ). Under the theme ” Conquer or die”, the event looks out for the bravest and most daring winner of the competition.

The Sunday’s UMOSPOC Kabalega Rally was the fifth round of the extended championship that started in 2020.

Duncan Mubiru came second with 17:49 total time followed by Ronald Sebuguzi who came third with 18:01 total time.

The rally that was for only today, had three stages repeated to cover a total competitive distance of 158.24km. See the performance below:

Duncan “Kikankane” Mubiru, who had hope of winning this rally to claim his maiden NRC title, finished second after he crossed finish line in one hour, 45 minutes, 46seconds.

Ronald Ssebuguzi and Omar Mayanja finished third and fourth respectively.
