KAMPALA.Police today has ranked Mpigi, Butambala, Gomba and Buwama as the major districts where fathers defile juveniles especially their daughters.

This has followed a number of rising cases that are reported to police about defilement in the spotted areas.

While speaking to journalists at the Media Centre in Kampala, Fred Enang said that there are number of defilement cases that are reported every week from these areas.

Enang said that as they put much emphasis on sensitizing citizens about the dangers of defilement, they are also finding out why fathers in these areas are actively involving in defiling their daughters.

Enang to speak this followed a case that was reported to police about aggravated defilement case in Kamengo where a 47 year old father Julius Makumbi from Masaazi village in Mpigi district grabbed his 13 year old daughter and forced her into sexual intercourse at around 7:00 pm. They have been staying alone in the house.

Enang said that the victim made noise that attracted the neighbors who responded but the father ran and police managed to track and arrested him. We are counseling the victim and managing her medication.

More so, the police are eagerly searching for Denis Muzoora a resident in Kasheri cell, Buhanga parish in the Ibanda district for engaging in aggravated domestic violence where he murdered his 14-year-old daughter Jane Rose Orishaba for using all the money that he had given her.

Enang said that the suspect had given the daughter 5000 shillings to buy some items to use at home and keep for him the balance, unfortunately the daughter used all the money.

Enang further said that when the father returned home from drinking, he demanded for the balance and the daughter had used all the money.

The father got angry and beat his daughter to the extent of cutting her with the pang. The victim died and the suspect ran away.

Further on security, police arrested Benard Nankwasa a 24 years old Saracen security guard at Good board Investments at Main Street in Lira. Benard was put under custody for shooting at two suspected thieves who had tried to vandalize a Fuso plate number UBD 309A.

Enang said that the suspects had managed to remove a battery and were removing other components from the car at a time when the security guards intervened. The guards gave the two thieves a chase and in the process, one of them released gunshots. One of the suspects Oryaka was injured.

Benard Nankwasa was arrested and put under custody as police investigate the circumstances under which the shot was released.
