Midfielder Brian Nkuubi, Goal Keeper Derrick Ochan and two other players have left the Uganda super league champions Vipers SC before the start of 2020-2021 season.
Nkuubi and Ochan both have confirmed their exit from Vipers on their social media Facebook account adding that they shall “keep the memories forever. “
Nkuubi and Ochan end their five-year stay at the club, Nkuubi joined Vipers from Kira Young. He renewed his two-year contract in 2018 before expiry, and is now a major target for URA FC while Derrick Ochan is set to head to Uganda Police or Bright star after the URA deal flopped.
Sources within the club confirmed to pepper sport that left back Farouk Musisi, Frank Zaga Tumwesigye and goalkeeper Derrick Ochan have been released.
Musisi joined the Vipers SC last year from Zambian team Konkola Blades on a three-year deal but he failed to command playing minutes ahead of Aziz Kayondo.
Musisi, who was sent off against Tooro United last season, had a bleak future at the club following the addition of Galiwango and presence of Dan Birikwalira.
Tumwesigye on the other hand, has failed to shine despite a promising start that saw the youngster draw comparison with the likes of Allan Okello who have since moved to play abroad.
His peer lifestyle will be the one to blame and a loan at Express never produced expected results.
Recently, Tito Okello also left Vipers after negotiations to renew the contract fell through and the lanky forward is reportedly chasing a deal outside the border.
