The NWSC statement further indicates this is to allow our engineers to undertake protection works along the DN700mm bulk water transmission main across Nakivubo channel, near Mukwano roundabout.

According to NWSC the precautionary works are designed to strengthen the anchorages of the line, and its structural integrity and subsequently prevent any failures that might arise as a result of overwhelming runoffs during this wet season.

The statement also indicated that a team of specialized engineers is on the ground working tirelessly to complete works and restore the water supply in the shortest time possible.

NWSC indicated that the work is expected to be complete by 11:00 pm and customers are therefore advised to store enough water and use it sparingly.
