Moses Nkonge Kibalama who was the founding leader of National Unity Reconciliation and Development party (NURP) that turned to be (National Unity Platform) made a u turn and claimed his party back on grounds that NUP leadership failed to pay him $5m as agreed during the takeover.

Whereas some members of the public view Kibalama’s claims towards NUP holding some water, to the rest it is meaningless and time consuming. We took to the streets to ask the public what their opinions on the matter were and here below are some of our findings;

Abubakar Nsubuga said that it is only money that controls everything and if you do not have it, you will accept everything. “That’s why Kibalama has double standard.” He adds.

Abubakar said that Kibalama’s u- turn could have been promised an empty basket and now that the government has everything to control anything, it is easy for them9government) to use all means both direct and indirect to convince Kibalama to come up and raise complaints over Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi.

Mr.David Lutimba

David Lutimba said that Kyagulanyi is a wise man and that nothing will stop him from winning the presidential elections. He said that Kyagulanyi has learnt everything that Besigye and Mao failed to do.

Nasser  Mutaasa Historically stressed that the government which is the ruling party has the power, mandate and authority  to find all means to see that her people live in a good condition. He further said you cannot trust a politician at any level because all of them are liars.

Mr.Sulaiman Segane

Sulaiman Segane said that the issues concerning politics are not worthwhile to the development of the country and that politics leads to confusion and disunity among people.

Hassan Kakye Mudidi said that no politician will enter paradise. Who did not watch Kibalama giving in his party minus any compensation? He has seen that the party is booming and now he admires the fruits and flowers that have been yielded by Kyagulanyi boosting NUP to the level that was not expected.

Afan Bururu and Rajab Mutyaba said that they do not know Kibalama and cannot discuss any issue that rotates around him.

Kibalama whom police confirmed as being under the custody of the security also changed his official telephone lines and not everybody can reach him at time of convenience.

Kibalama is expected to report to court this on 25th September for hearing of the case.
