It’s a moment of jubilation for former East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) candidate Julius Bukyana, who has bagged a Master’s degree in international relations and diplomacy.

Bukyana scooped the degree from Nkumba University at its 26th graduation ceremony that has been held today Saturday 26th October 2024 at the University’s main campus in Entebbe, under the theme; “30 Years of Transforming Dreams into Knowledge and Skills.”

Bukyana is also a public relations officer at Victoria University, the leading university in Uganda and East Africa when it comes to experiential learning and working integrated learning.

Speaking to this website, the jubilant Bukyana revealed that this has not been a smooth journey since he has been studying amidst very many other tight responsibilities.

“Well, one thing I have come to understand is that success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing. This journey has been not so smooth, I remember those moments when I would find myself stuck with books and other responsibilities but am happy that today I have come to see the fruits of my hustle,” said Julius.

He attributed this milestone to his supporting family, friends and his workaholic lectures.

”First I want to thank my almighty God for enabling me, but also I wouldn’t have achieved this if I didn’t have a supportive family and very wonderful lecturers and my friends who have been helping me on some assignments,” added Julius.

He noted that this degree is a boost to his dream of securing a legislative position in a regional parliament.
