The cultural counselor of the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mr. Muhammad Reza Ghezelsofla hosted a ceremony to commemorate the late general Qassem Soleimani for his contribution to the world and a recognized martyr in Islam.
On January 3rd 2019, American president Donald trump ordered drone strikes that killed general Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-muhandis in Iraq near Baghdad’s international airport.
The commemoration event was graced with different media personnel, scholars, and opinion leaders of the Muslim fraternity at Iran cultural headquarters in Kampala among whom was the distinguished lecturer of Kampala International University {KIU} and Islamic University {IUIU] from Nigeria, Dr. Tajudeen Sanni whose address pointed towards the ill perceptions conceived by humankind.
“We are living in a world where perceptions are different from reality and effected to reality. It is a pity that there so many misconceptions about different people which are actualized to be true. Characters are first assassinated before the assassination happens in reality.
Unfortunately, the late general Suleiman was a victim of this assassination.” Said Tajudeen
Dr Tajudeen in his speech emphasized that the late general Soleimani was a hero who hailed his works of peace first in a silent way, then in a moderate way and lastly in a revolutionary way before he met his death in Iraq commissioned by the western powers.

He quoted Malcolm x saying that “be careful so that those who are by you are not painted as against you.”
Dr. Tajudeen also said that the foreign powers had victimized and oppressed Africans in the name of trying to create a better Africa through neocolonialism.
He continued to say that countries that have been painted as violent and chaotic like Iran actually have the most outstanding peace keepers like the late general Qassem Soleimani who at the time of his death had gone to execute a peace keeping mission.
“Our society is at risk not because of the insecurity paused to it but the propaganda being put up to instigate this insecurity. This propaganda is what led to the death of general Soleimani who had been painted all over as a dangerous man so that there would be justification for his death by his killers.” Said Tajudeen
Dr. Tajudeen expressed dissatisfaction with the western powers who described the incident of general Soleimani’s murder as lawlessness. At this, Dr. Tajudeen asserted that the world is at stake if the proprietors of the law are the very ones acting contrary to the rules of law.
He advised fellow Africans to know their actual friends and take caution on the stories that they perceive especially those without concrete proof because these perceptions are responsible for damaging the society.
The cultural counselor of the Islamic Republic of Iran Al hajji Muhammad Reza Ghezelsofla added his voice to salute the works of the fallen hero general Soleimani for his remarkable input in peacekeeping around the countries of Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria.
According to GhezelSofla, Soleimani’s assassination was a revenge plot against the great nations that stood up against conspiracies and Zionism.
GezelSofla stated that Soleimani’s legacies were innumerable and time could not spell them all but appraised him as a global peace ambassador who not only fought for Iran but fought across all borders against terrorism and injustices.
“He did not differentiate between the Lebanese, Syrians, Iranians, Palestinians, or Yemen people. Any aggression against the people, their money, and their honor was a red line to him.” Sofla remarked.

GhezelSofla described the late as a commander of hearts and a person who was endowed with numerous talents and abilities which he used positively and selflessly.
He attributed general Soleimaini’s character to the fact that he was a staunch follower of the holy prophet of Islam who also defended freedom and unity.
“General Soleimani was a school of thought for many and indeed a great resource to society but unfortunately, his enemies miscalculated this and assassinated him.
Today we celebrate a man of peace, who was unjustly killed in the name of creating peace. Our society has lost every sense of empathy because a poor man was killed without any regard for his family.” Said GhezelSofla.
In his advice to Ugandans, GezelSofla urged people to emulate the example of general Suleiman who being from humble backgrounds worked his way to the top and stayed humble in his service towards his country and globally.
He also told people to uphold unity and togetherness and to fight for a just cause always taking the example of the late general Soleimani.
Qassem Soleimani was one of the greatest heroes and a martyr in the Islamic Republic of Iran revolutionary corps who fought to pacify the entire middle east and the Persian Gulf.
This event The martyrdom anniversary to honour General Qassem Soleimani’s legacies and contributions to the world attracted media partners, youth, scholars, religious and opinion leaders from Uganda.
Among the participants on the event is Mr. Balikuddeme William from The Sunrise paper who said that,
“I knew about Qassem Soleimani after his assassination but I got an opportunity to travel to Iran under a science journalism competition organized by the Al-Mustafa foundation and I learned that BBC was misinforming the World about the true image of Iran”.

America’s leaders are not necessarily hurting Iran out of correct information, misinformation, but out of a deep-rooted hatred for the regime in Tehran. America lost its influence over Iran forty years ago and she is looking for a way of getting it back.
He said that Iranians are very nice people. I agree with Edward that the ordinary American does not know that. He or she is being fed on propaganda by her government. Given the opportunity to learn more about Iranians, an ordinary American would love to have an Iranian for a neighbor than a fellow American.
He added that when Gen. Soleimani was killed probably many Americans celebrated. But the image of the millions of people who marched in Tehran to pay tribute to him speaks a lot about the act of killing others. The one who hurts many is the real terrorist. I would be very scared today if I were an American.
He said that when US President Donald Trump threatens to hit Iran’s cultural sites. The English and other Europeans only started to enter America from the 17th century.
When they got there they disrupted the livelihoods of the Native Americans, killing them and taking over their territory. Iran has a history of civilization dating back to 4000 years before Jesus Christ was born.
How rich is America’s history compared to that of Iran? I hope Trump is not too stupid to even continue to think about destroying any of Iran’s centers of cultural importance. These are global treasures that cannot be found anywhere in America.
They referred to him as a man who served his country sincerely without dividing people he had a deep understanding of the difference between Shia and Sunni Muslims but never showed it when defending humanity and this teaches us when serving not to discriminate but to always serve humanity equally with justice.
