My good friend and a brother Dr Hajj Bulaimu Muwanga Kibirige fondly known as BMK passed on in Nairobi this morning! He succumbed to cancer which was diagnosed in 2013 when it already was in advanced stages and was given 2 years to live! The fighter he was, he defied all medical logic and sought treatment from the best medical facilities around the globe.
His will power to live and work was unmatched. He told me that he received moral and generous financial support from family, friends and well wishers. Bulaimu too was a very generous man to those he knew and strangers alike.

Sick and suffering as he might have been he had the presence of mind to think about me and remembered my love for them, flat caps!
A generous, loving, loved and loveable soul, he was.
Bulaimu never wasted time, he always worked so hard to achieve his set goals. Top among the projects he started and completed as he was ailing was a book about his business journey. It is an everlasting treasure he has left us.
May his family, that he so carefully and purposefully groomed, mentored and moulded into businessmen and women carry on his legacy.
“Obuntu bulamu” is what he had in abundance.
Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un!
