Police authorities have arrested Patience Uwimana, the woman who was filmed while brutalizing a five-year-old child.
According to a police report, she was recently recently from Kisoro Prison for attempted murder.
The suspect and the victim are to be medically examined on mental and physical health respectively according to AIGP Asan Kasingye the Police Political Commissar.
Police says it has also secured a comforting organisation that will take care of the kid including his education up to the university.
“Thank you everyone for the support in fighting crimes. The father is disabled (PWD)” Kasingye added.
The incident that went viral on Wednesday last week as Ugandans called for her arrest.
AIGP Asan Kasingye on Thursday said the suspect was identified so on the run but efforts were on to apprehend her.
