The President met the caucus at State House, Entebbe, on September 6, 2025, where he discussed service delivery and development priorities for Buganda and the country. He reminded the MPs that Buganda has benefited from the NRM revolution through peace, good roads, and industries.

“You, the new leaders, need to defend the legitimate interests of the people of Uganda and Buganda because Buganda is the major beneficiary of the NRM revolution and anybody who does not see that is an enemy of Buganda,” Museveni said.

He emphasized that Uganda’s transformation depends on every family engaging in productive activities. “Strategically, Buganda is the direct beneficiary of NRM, so if all the people get involved in creating wealth, Uganda will be the most developed country in the world,” he added.

The President pointed out land fragmentation as one of the biggest challenges hindering economic progress in the region and across the country.

Migadde Robert Ndugwa, chairperson of the caucus and MP for Buvuma County, presented a Memorandum of Understanding to the President and commended his leadership in driving national development. He said the group has been engaging communities at the constituency level to address concerns and monitor government programs.

The Deputy Secretary General of the NRM, Rose Namayanja, thanked the President for his guidance and encouraged the caucus to maintain unity and commitment in serving the people of Buganda while strengthening the NRM’s support in the region.
