FIFA has officially named 26 Ugandan match officials to its international refereeing lists for 2026, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations announced Friday.
The appointments allow the selected officials to preside over FIFA and Confederation of African Football competitions during the upcoming international season. FUFA officials said the inclusions reflect a sustained investment in local referee development and performance management.
The 2026 list features a mix of referees and assistant referees across field soccer, futsal and beach soccer categories.
The referees selected for field soccer are Kasalirwe Lucky Razake, Nabadda Shamirah, Okello Dick, Murungi Diana, Oloya William, Nantongo Josephine, Duula Joshua and Olemu George.
Those named as assistant referees include Katenya Ronald, Ongiera Immaculate, Okudra Emmanuel, Nassolo Elizabeth, Mulindwa Hakim, Mutonyi Jane, Musisi Brianson, Nantabo Lydia Wanyama, Katerega Ashraf, Nayebare Babrah and Magoola Ashraf.
In specialized categories, Nsubuga Brian Emmy and Sengendo Isaac were appointed as futsal referees. The beach soccer referee selections are Kintu Ivan Bayige, Ssenteza Muhammad, Kawagga Bazirio Kennedy and Munyendoh Joel Chote.
The FUFA Referees Committee stated it remains focused on training and fitness standards to ensure Ugandan officials remain aligned with global requirements.
