Democratic Party president, Norbert Mao has written to the Electoral Commission asking them to put a halt on the new elections guidelines until they hold a special meeting with all political party leadership.
Mao argues that it was wrong for the Electoral Commission to come up with the new road map for the 2021 elections without their input.
Failure for the Electoral Commission to comply with their call they have threatened to run to the courts of law.
DP is contesting some of the electoral guidelines which were put out yesterday by the Electoral Commission chairman, Justice Simon Byabakama among them is no more public gatherings at campaigns but all campaigns are to be carried out in a scientific manner.
