There have been several cases of examination malpractice regarding the last two semesters’ examinations.

Culprits of the previous semester were given a ‘dead semester’ one 2021/2022 and therefore will resume their studies the next semester and study the missed semester the coming academic year.

Before, the students caught cheating exams had been summoned to court and asked to answer to the accusations. A number of examination coordinators have on several occasions warned the students hoping to cheat in the next examinations that the punishment will be more dire and much unbearable.

In order to curb examination malpractice completely, the 18th Ministry of academics and professional Affairs in partnership with the examinations division of the university have launched a three weeks campaign against examination malpractice.

Powered by the office of the Academic registrar, the campaign will create awareness of what could be the consequences when caught cheating and encourage students to adequately prepare for examinations that a due mid next month.

The examinations division deems it very necessary to caution the students sufficiently before they have to implement their final decision regarding anything related to examination malpractice.

The campaign started yesterday 1st July 2022 and will end on 27th July. The organizers hope that it will yield excellent results and examination malpractice can be erased in Kyambogo University.
