Maroons FC Gets New Board as Team Prepares to Return to Uganda Premier League!

Hillary Bisanga, Commissioner of Prisons (Logistics Management) has been appointed the new Club Chairman, he will be deputised by Sana Brenda, Assistant Commissioner of Prisons (Commandant – Prisons Academy and Training School).

The Commissioner General of Prisons, Can. Dr Johnson Byabashaija, also club patron of Maroons Football Club has announce a permanent board to guide the side in the upcoming Uganda Premier League season.

According to Statement from Prisons authority, Hillary Bisanga, Commissioner of Prisons (Logistics Management) has been appointed the new Club Chairman, he will be deputised by Sana Brenda, Assistant Commissioner of Prisons (Commandant – Prisons Academy and Training School).

Other new members include Mr. Elly Tumuryamye, Assistant Commissioner of Prisons (Service Transport Officer), Mr. Ronald Ojambo, PPO (Head of Procurement), Onesmas Bitaliwo, Senior Superintendent of Prisons (General Administration and Welfare of Staff), Apollo Sempungu, Senior Superintendent of Prisons (Policy and Planning Unit) & Yusuf Kiboome (Senior Accountant).

David Okiring, Principal Rehabilitation and Reintegration Officer (Head of Prisons Sports Division) retains his seat as a board secretary.

The remaining two seats will be completed by the Chief Executive Officer and Head Coach – Maroons FC

Owned by the Uganda Prisons Service, Maroons FC remains one of the most historical and traditional football clubs in Uganda having been founded in 1965, and recently returned to the top tier division.
