Sheikh Yasin Ssekikubo, addressing worshippers at the mosque, emphasized the importance of praying to God and maintaining good conduct.

“Muslims should not envy others for the blessings they have received. Instead, they should strive to work hard and act rightly so that they too can achieve goodness,” he said.

He also urged women to uphold family responsibilities and friendships, cautioning that neglect could lead to household conflicts and, in some cases, divorce.

Meanwhile, the Imam of Masjid Hussein, Sheikh Sulaiman Sseguya, called on parents to foster positive relationships with their children rather than relying on harsh discipline.

“Good communication and guidance are far more effective than punishment, which can push some children into rebellion or even make them run away,” he said.

Local authorities, including ASP Ssebuliba Muhammad, reminded young girls to avoid wandering at night, citing safety concerns.

“The safety of our youth is paramount. Parents and guardians must guide them, and we will ensure the law is enforced without exception,” ASP Ssebuliba stated.

The Eid gathering drew hundreds of worshippers, underscoring the importance of unity, faith, and moral conduct within the Muslim community.
