Residents of Mutungo Hill and several surrounding neighborhoods will experience a temporary water interruption as the National water and sewerage corporation {NWSC} undertakes upgrade works on the Mutungo Hill water tank reserver.
According to a public notice issued on Friday, NWSC said water supply to the Upper Mutungo Tank has been temporarily switched off to allow ongoing improvements aimed at enhancing water service delivery in the area.
According to the utility provider, technical teams are working around the clock to complete the upgrade works and have also put in place alternative measures to restore supply as quickly as possible while construction continues.
The areas affected by the interruption include Mutungo Hill, Bikumbi Road, Kitaka Road, Mutungo Ring Road, the Radio Maria area, Balimwezo Road, Mutungo Tank Hill Road, Kayongo Road, parts of Biina, and neighboring communities.
NWSC assured customers that every effort is being made to complete the works within the shortest time possible and minimize disruptions to water services.
The corporation apologized for the inconvenience caused and thanked residents for their patience and understanding during the upgrade process.
NWSC noted that the ongoing improvements are part of broader efforts to strengthen water infrastructure and ensure more reliable service delivery to customers in the affected areas.
