COVID-19 invades Uganda Police force as its Chief Political Commissar Asan Kasingye tests potive for COVID-19.

Shocking news coming Uganda police shows that the Chief Political Commissar AIGP Asan Kasingye has August 23 revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19.

Asan Kasingye confirmed the bad news on his personal Twitter handle. Message Reads!

“BAD NEWS!! I’AM #COVID19 POSITIVE,” he tweeted.

The Ministry of Health has confirmed 97 new COVID-19 cases bringing the total of confirmed cases of Ugandans to 2,263 as on Sunday, August 23, 2020.

According to the ministry of health the Ugandan COVID-19 recoveries are now 1226 while the death toll stands at 20 in the last one month and still increasing.

Addressing the media on Saturday, August 23, health Minister Jane Ruth Aceng revealed that several institutions including; Malaysia Furnishing, Royal Pharma, Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, the Inspectorate of Government [IGG], Kampala Capital City Authority [KCCA], Toyota Uganda, the National Resistance Movement [NRM] Secretariat, Eagle Holdings,Megha Industries, Some media houses (New Vision, NBS, NTV, BBS) and other private hospitals have reported COVID-19 cases.

This therefore highlights the need to ensure that workplaces strictly observe the Standard Operating Procedures [SOPs] as the ministry of health is working on ensuring total Prevention and putting Control measures to limit the spread of COVID-19,” Health Minister Acheng said.
